    Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations

    Ambassador Susan E. Rice served as Domestic Policy Advisor to President Biden from 2021-2023, National Security Advisor and U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations and a member of the Cabinet under President Obama from 2009-2017. She also served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs under President Clinton from 1997-2001. Rice is the only person to have served both as National Security Advisor and Domestic Policy Advisor. In 2024, Rice was a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Stanford University. Rice currently serves on the board of Netflix as well as the Defense Policy Board. Her 2019 memoir, Tough Love: My Story of the Things Worth Fighting For, was a New York Times bestseller.
