Background
The Future Movers Programme is an initiative funded and supported by the European Commission and Enabel and focuses on building an inclusive and market-driven Vocational Educational and Training (VET) ecosystem, to up-skill and right-skill the internally displaced persons (IDPs), specifically the youth of Marawi City. Additionally, the program aims to empower the youth and increase their employability rate by improving access to inclusive VET, incentivizing programme completion, and streamlining the professional growth.
The program offers very specific benefits in terms of capacity building/ tools/ technologies to participating TVIs. It is foreseen that participating TVI's will be in a position to build a career hub as a result of the project and this can serve them much beyond the scope of the project.
The project consortia is organizing a very informative, yet brief online forum to highlight the benefits of the program to participating TVIs and related stakeholders from the government, Civil Society groups and the private sector. Moreover, this forum will highlight the importance of TVIs in the successful implementation of the innovative learning approaches, global and standardized skills certification, and comprehensive labour market integration.
