In early August, the US Department of Education sent all schools, their draft "Financial Value Transparency & Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) Completers Lists." Schools now have until October 5, 2024 to review and correct any student information on their FVT/GE Completers List. This is an important step to make sure your institution's final FVT/GE rates to be calculated are accurate.

After October 5, the US Department of Education will send the corrected Completers Lists to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to gather earnings data for each student on the list. This data will be used to calculate Debt-to-Earnings (D/E) Rates and Earnings Premium (EP) Rates for student cohorts in programs. These rates will then be published for all institutions under FVT, and programs that are considered "GE" Programs could be held accountable in future years with Title IV funding if they have failing rates two out of three years.

Please join the Mid-Atlantic Association of Career Schools and McClintock & Associates for this important webinar explaining what schools need to be doing between now and October 5, along with other information and insights schools may consider as they comply with the FVT/GE Rules. We will also provide a brief update on the status of court litigation challenging the FVT/GE Rules.

Registered attendees will receive webinar link and passcodes to use several days prior to August 27 webinar.
