GBA – the GERMAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION – has been one of the first foreign business associations in Vietnam, starting its activities already back in 1995. For 30 years, GBA has been the focal point of German business life, culture, and values in Vietnam. It has helped German businesses in developing their operations, has advised on a wide range of topics, and created opportunities for business and social exchange across Vietnam.

Today, GBA has over 370 members, a reflection of the opportunities and dynamics of the Vietnamese market. It is one of the largest foreign business associations in Vietnam and a highly respected counterpart in the local community. In addition, GBA was one of the founding members of EuroCham Vietnam, a partnership that represents the pan-European activities and interests in Vietnam. A GBA membership automatically goes along with EuroCham membership and strengthens our ties with the other European business communities.

Luat Nguyen brings over 17 years of diverse professional experience. Throughout his career, he has held key executive roles, founded a successful startup, and led the transformation of a traditional German watch and watchband manufacturer, established in 1885.
In 2017, he joined InnovationLab GmbH, where he played a pivotal role in advancing the commercialization of printed and organic electronics. His leadership resulted in strategic partnerships that facilitated the mass production of printed sensors, impacting multiple industries, including healthcare, automotive, smart cities, retail, and logistics.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Luat was awarded Management of the Year in 2021 in Heidelberg, Germany.
Since becoming the Managing Director of Cicor Vietnam in April 2022, Luat has driven impressive growth. His leadership has transformed Cicor Vietnam from a modest factory into a smart, digitally advanced manufacturing hub, with significant strides in digital transformation and operational efficiency.

Tam Ngo brings over 5 years of hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing. He joined Cicor Vietnam in July 2022, where he leads Lean transformation initiatives and also serves as Assistant to the Managing Director.
At Cicor, Tam has played a key role in implementing core Lean principles such as 5S and Kaizen, while driving digital transformation to build smarter, more efficient production systems.
Case Study: Tam successfully led a project to reduce waste in PCB assembly lines by integrating real-time data analytics, One-Piece Flow, U-shaped cell layout, line balancing, and OEE monitoring. This initiative significantly boosted operational efficiency and shortened cycle times.
Cicor’s Role: he has strengthened its Lean capabilities through structured Lean audits, comprehensive workforce training, and robust KPI benchmarking, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all operations.
