Since the introduction of biogas technology in the Philippines in 1965, the concept of anaerobic digestion has mainly been used in small-scale applications to treat organic household and community waste. During this 90-minute forum on Going Big With Biogas, we will discuss the potential of Industrial-scale Biogas Production in the Philippines to generate energy from organic waste.
Speakers from the government and private sector will share current developments in biogas production and highlight the potential of biogas as part of the country's renewable energy mix.
This forum is part of an ongoing develoPPP project, in partnership with German biogas tank producer Lipp GmbH, to train local technicians on the maintenance and safe handling of biogas plants. The project is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The forum will be held via Zoom on June 15, 2022, from 3:30 PM to 5 PM. Registered attendees will be receiving the Zoom meeting details before the event starts.
