GTCC Seminar on "Cross cultural awareness in business"

In times of globalization and international cooperation, cross cultural competence is the basis for successful cooperation. In particular communication with people from a wide variety of backgrounds can be an enrichment as well a challenge as it can lead to misunderstandings and differences in business.

A successful international cooperation in a daily business life might get complicated through cross cultural misunderstandings. People are usually not aware that their thinking and actions are often strongly influenced by their own cultural identity.

"If you want to build a bridge to the other side of the river, you first have to know your own riverbank!" Being aware of your own socialization and actions is the basis and prerequisite for developing an understanding of other cultures.

Only if you know the norms and values ​​(cultural standards) of the other culture will you understand the way of communication and business behaviour. This will also make you more successful in international cooperation!

In this workshop led by Carola Helwig, GTCC member who has extensive experience in cross-cultural coaching, the participants will develop an awareness of Thai culture crucial for business and learn more about the indirect communication in order to be more successful in international leadership and business.
