Climate change is an urgent issue and the time to act on climate change is NOW. Through the national energy policy, Kebijakan Energi Nasional (KEN), Indonesia have set its target to achieve at least 23% share of renewable energy (RE) in their electricity supply by 2025 in their effort to fight against climate change. Given its archipelago's location and topography, Indonesia has a huge potential for green energy adoption through solar energy. Capacity additions of around 6.7 GW of solar energy is expected by 2025.
