COURSE DESCRIPTION:


This four-day course is designed to provide a basic understanding of all aspects of information systems (IS) in organizations – IS governance, IS acquisition & development, IS operations and service management, business resilience and information security – and introduces various approaches to review and evaluate their effectiveness in support of organizational objectives.


COURSE OBJECTIVES:


  • Understand the end-to-end process of auditing IS, how it differs from business process audits, and how to manage the IS audit function
  • Be familiar with common activities, risks and internal control concepts relating to information systems and related technologies
  • Gain basic knowledge of audit procedures to assess adequacy and effectiveness of IS/IT governance, systems and solutions, operations, continuity and security processes

TARGET PARTICIPANTS:


The seminar is especially designed for government employees from NGAs, GOCCs/GFIs, LGUs and SUCs, particularly those assigned in the internal audit, accounting, finance, treasury, budget, asset management, general services, human resource management, corporate planning, operations systems developers, procurement, legal, etc.


Those in the private sector especially those who have contracts/transactions with government or intend to transact or do business with government are encouraged to attend this training course.
