About MAX Ottawa

Founded in 2002, MAX Ottawa is a queer health and wellness charitable organization that operates on the unceded and unsurrendered land of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people. MAX's approach to health and wellness is grounded in a holistic, sex positive, and assets-based approach that recognizes, encourages, and supports the diverse needs of the queer community. MAX strives for a hassle-free delivery of services and resources that promote community health, where individuals can feel empowered and supported to actively participate in improving their wellbeing. In service of this goal, we run programs and services that promote wellbeing of the community, including harm reduction supply distribution, training in and development of culturally appropriate resources and knowledge, and trauma-informed peer support.

At the forum, MAX Ottawa will have a booth with two trained staff members available throughout the event to provide psycho-social support as needed. They will be wearing a berry red colour or a black t-shirt with berry red "MAX" on the front. Whether for guidance, resources, or assistance related to the themes of the conference on international cooperation futures forum, our staff is dedicated to ensuring that all attendees feel supported in navigating discussions and topics pertinent to global cooperation and future developments.
