Kenya's real estate sector remains one of the most heavily taxed and regulated industries, with frequent policy shifts that directly impact developers, investors and property owners.

Recent tax policy changes, compliance regulations and government revenue-raising measures have placed real estate taxation at the center of industry discussions. From VAT on land transactions to corporate tax structures, withholding tax obligations, and capital gains tax implications, developers are constantly navigating shifting goalposts.

Yet, many developers do not fully understand the tax-saving opportunities at their disposal or how to structure their businesses for greater efficiency. At the same time, delayed VAT refunds, bureaucratic hurdles and unclear policy interpretations remain significant challenges.

The KPDA CEO Breakfast Forum offers a dedicated platform to break down these tax realities and discuss practical ways for developers to navigate them. Under the theme "A Bigger Slice: How Much of Your Tax Pie Can You Recoup?", we'll explore the tax obligations shaping the sector and the strategies available to optimize financial efficiency while remaining compliant.

Join us for the KPDA CEO Breakfast Forum as we unpack:

1. The evolving tax regime and how new policies impact real estate.

2. What you're paying vs. what you could be savingโ€”are you leaving money on the table?

3. Structuring real estate transactions for tax efficiency and avoiding common pitfalls.

4. How to recoup VAT and other tax benefits without unnecessary delays.

With leading tax experts, legal advisors, and policymakers in the room, expect an insightful, no-fluff conversation on what you need to know and what you can do right now to stay compliant while maximizing returns.
