Journaling is a method of recording thoughts, experiences, and emotions in a notebook or other medium. Journaling is a tool that can help people achieve balance and satisfaction in many of the eight dimesons of wellness. Research has shown that journaling can provide a safe, cathartic release for dealing with the stresses of daily life, can stimulate creativity and provide a number of health and mental health benefits. accessible workbook for personal and professional benefit.

Participants will be able to

  • Discuss the research supporting journaling for mental health, management of stress and other health
  • Define the types of journaling (illustrative discovery journaling; gratitude journaling; and reflective journaling)
  • List the personal benefits of journaling on wellness
  • Identify resources to support and maintain ongoing journaling practices.
