Event Details

Whether you lead a small business or you work in big business, emerging leaders often aspire to some-day get a seat at the boardroom table. However, when aiming for senior leadership roles, how should you approach learning complex governance frameworks and designing your career to develop a unique skillset to shape the future direction of an organisation?

To help guide us to the top, the BJCC is back with a Member-favourite panel discussion Journey to the Boardroom, on Wednesday 28 August 2024 at Tattersalls Club, Brisbane City.

We're proud to introduce our panel speakers below (more to come soon), and trust us, you'll want a seat in the front row. Our esteemed panelists will share their personal career journeys and tell us straight what it really takes to get a seat, and how to get board-ready to make a meaningful contribution from the outset.

We sincerely thank Day One Recruitment for supporting us in bringing this governance discussion to you. Day One Recruitment is a Brisbane-based legal recruitment firm that specialises in both private practice and in-house roles, and is highly invested in both sides of the recruitment relationship.

We are pleased to welcome back the Governance Institute of Australia as our Learning Partner. The BJCC is a strong advocate for ensuring the collective voice of emerging leaders is heard in the long-term strategy discussions of the city. We're proud to have the support of peak bodies such as the Governance Institute of Australia to support our members and emerging leaders across Brisbane access the arena of senior leadership.

Get your tickets ASAP. Networking, drinks, and canapes are included. This event will sell out!
