National African American Culture and History Museum
The National Museum of African American History and Culture is a profound tribute to the rich heritage and contributions of African Americans throughout history. As the newest addition to the Smithsonian Institution, this stunning architectural marvel houses thousands of artifacts, interactive exhibits and poignant displays that tell the story of the African American experience. From the legacy of slavery to the civil rights movement, visitors can explore the complexities of history and celebrate the resilience and achievements of a vibrant culture. We have exclusive access to the museum two hours before it opens to the public.
National Cathedral
The majestic Washington National Cathedral, an iconic symbol of faith and resilience, is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. Its soaring spires and intricate stained-glass windows create an awe-inspiring atmosphere that invites reflection and contemplation. We will meet with the Washington National Cathedral's Dean Randy Hollerity and Provost Jan Naylor Cope for a private tour.
The Pentagon
A symbol of American military strength, The Pentagon is one of the most significant office buildings in the world and a vital center of the U.S. Department of Defense. We'll have special access to explore its rich history through a private tour with L3 member and Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Richard Myers. He will delve into its architectural significance, its role in military operations and its impact on global events.
Army and Navy Country Club
The Army and Navy Country Club offers a unique blend of leisure and camaraderie for its members, located just a stone's throw from the heart of D.C. Set against a backdrop of lush greenery, this prestigious club will be the location of our lunch where we will hear from special guest John Swan, former Premier of Bermuda.
The People's House Museum
The People's House Museum opened in September 2024. We will explore the history and significance of the White House, the residence of every U.S. president since John Adams. Through engaging exhibits and multimedia displays, the museum highlights the architectural evolution of this iconic building, its role in American politics and the stories of the families who have called it home. Special programs and guided tours offer unique insights into the heritage of this national treasure, making it an essential stop for any visitor to Washington, D.C.
Willson Center
Chartered by Congress, the Wilson Center provides nonpartisan counsel and insights on global affairs to policymakers through deep research, impartial analysis and independent scholarship. Ambassador James Jeffrey is the Chair of the Middle East program and a Slater Family Distinguished Fellow of this renowned think tank. He will speak with us about the Middle East as well as hosting a panel for discussion on geopolitics.
Dinner at the Embassy
Imagine you're standing outside an opulent an embassy residence in the heart of Washington, D.C. You step inside and are greeted by the ambassador and invited to participate in a briefing on U.S. relations with their country. The evening promises engaging discussions, a feast for the senses and an unforgettable experience in one of the city's most prestigious settings. Several embassy residences want to host L3 for dinner while we're in D.C.
Cosmos Club
Our closing dinner will be at the Cosmos Club, a prestigious private club celebrating the intersection of science, arts and letters. Located in a historic mansion, the club offers a unique atmosphere with a rich tradition of intellectual discourse.

L3 Foundation, a 501c3 charitable nonprofit, will make donations to nonprofits in the D.C. area as a result of this event. A portion of your registration fee may be tax deductible if your tax professional advises it. Registrants will receive a tax receipt listing the fair market value of this event after the trip is completed.
