Eduardo Suárez is Vice-President, Latin America Economics at Scotiabank. In this role, Eduardo leverages the Bank’s Latin American experience and focus on Mexico, Chile, Peru and Colombia, providing direct support to the Pacific Alliance. Prior to this role, Eduardo was Director & Co-Head, LatAm Strategy on the Foreign Exchange Strategy team.

Eduardo provides a unique and comprehensive insight to Latin American markets, product of his experience working for major Canadian and Mexican Banks and for Mexico’s Finance Ministry, where he worked as an International Economist, a Department Head in the Financial Programing division and as Deputy Director of the Investors Relations Office. He has played a key role advising investors who want to reach the Latin American market, providing global companies with guidance and insights on the best routes to make the most of their investments in the region.



Eduardo holds an MBA with a major in Financial Engineering from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and a BSc in Economics degree from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.
