World Water Day is coordinated by UN-Water in collaboration with governments and partners. The global theme of World Water Day 2019 is 'Leaving No One Behind', an adaptation of the central promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) aims to ensure availability and sustainable management of water for all by 2030. By definition, this means leaving no one behind.

Taking its cue from the above global theme, the Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN), UNESCO Office Jakarta, and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, the University of Indonesia will jointly organize a seminar to celebrate World Water Day 2019. The event will bring together experts, relevant national stakeholders, universities, and development partners, to exchange their views on the "Water for all".

In addition, the event will launch the World Water Development Report (WWDR) 2019: Leaving No One Behind, which is an annual and thematic report, developed through the joint effort of the UN agencies and entities that focus on different strategic water issues. The report aims to provide decision-makers with the tools to implement sustainable use of water resources.
