Limmud is the Hebrew word for learning. Limmud SA is a community of learning where South African Jews can learn and share ideas, regardless of their affiliations or levels of Jewish knowledge. It is exciting, dynamic and diverse. Limmud makes accessible some of the world’s most dynamic Jewish educators, performers and teachers at annual conferences around the country.

Last year, more than 800 Limmud participants โ€“ veterans, newbies and everyone in between โ€“ gathered for a weekend designed with something for everyone ready to take one step further on their Jewish journey.


Join us again this year in learning, dancing, singing, debating, sharing delicious meals, spending quality time with old and new friends, laughing, and more, as we build the most vibrant, energising, diverse and unifying Jewish space. Over the weekend, you will have the opportunity to choose from more than 100 sessions from outstanding local and international presenters. With both full weekend and Sunday-only options, everyone has an opportunity to be part of the Limmud experience!

Weekend

Volunteer

 Did you know Limmud South Africa is completely run by volunteers? From our conference chairs, treasurers, programming and registration to our marketers and even presenters! They all give of their time, energy, skills and commitment to Limmud.


During conference, we rely on our volunteers even more to support an incredible experience for our participants. We would love for you to join us as a volunteer this year!


If you are not able to volunteer, please consider donating to help us cover registration fees for those who are unable to afford our already subsidised prices. 



Subsidised Volunteer Registration for the Full Weekend


Our Young Adult and Youth Movement specials for participants between the ages of 18-30 years old are heavily subsidised by our generous donors. To qualify, participants are asked to volunteer for at least 4 hours during conference.


For Adult registration, you can qualify for a R500 discount if you volunteer for at least 4 hours during conference. Use discount code VOLUNTEER25 when selecting your tickets.


*Please note that the volunteer discount cannot be applied to already subsidised bookings (but can be claimed together with the Early Bird discount).

For security and registration purposes, a ticket needs to be issued for each participant who will be attending, regardless of age - even babies need their own tickets :)


When completing the registration form, each ticket should be in the participant's name with their contact information. Please do not duplicate participant details across your booking, as duplicate participant details will be cancelled. Thank you!

Participants need to comply with security procedures implemented and may be required to present identification. Participants may be refused admission or asked to leave the premises if they pose a threat to the safety or enjoyment of others, and they will not be given a refund.

  • Refunds and cancellations: Refunds and cancellations are processed on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to a cancellation fee. Donations will not be refunded.
