Brief Description:

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) expects banks and supervised financial institutions to practice sound liquidity risk management to ensure that a BSFI can maintain a reasonable level of liquidity sufficient to readily meet both its business-as-usual and unanticipated cash flows and collateral needs without adversely impacting banking operations and financial position of the institution.

This course focuses on the management of liquidity risk, defined by the BSP as the current and prospective risk to earnings or capital arising from a bank's inability to meet its obligations when they come due without incurring unacceptable losses or costs.
