We have an incredible opportunity to make a real impact for Texas' film, television, video gaming, and digital media industries—and we need your help.

TXMPA is launching Lone Star Letters, a month-long, statewide letter-writing campaign in April to ensure our lawmakers hear directly from the people these bills -- SB 22 and HB 4568 -- would support. While they receive countless emails, mostly form letters, and petitions, what they don't often receive are handwritten letters from their constituents -- real stories from real Texans about why we choose to live, work, and create here.

We're inviting film-friendly certified cities and industry organizations across the state to host local letter-writing events, rallying your communities to share their voices. The more participation we have, the stronger our message will be.

And we'll make it easy for you! Choose the date/time that works best for your community/org in April and TXMPA will provide:

• Digital promotional assets to help spread the word
• Letter-writing prompts to inspire your community
• Press release templates and any media contacts we have in your area

This is a historic moment for our industry, and together, we can ensure that lawmakers see not just the economic impact of our work, but the humans behind the magic.
