The basic elements of building spreadsheets will be introduced. Topics will include building formulas, copying, moving and pasting cells, formatting, and printing spreadsheets.


Objectives:

  • Spreadsheet Concepts & Ribbon Overview: Understanding Excel's structure and menus, including commands that affect cells, columns, and worksheets.
  • Building Formulas & Calculations: Learning to create formulas, sum values, and copy cells.
  • Auto-Fill: Using Excel's auto-fill feature to fill cells with equal incremental values.
  • Reusable Lists & Cell Movement: Creating lists and moving cells within the spreadsheet.
  • Formatting Values: Adding symbols like $ to numbers and adjusting decimal displays.
  • Layout Modifications: Adjusting column sizes, changing fonts, and aligning text (bold, italics, underline).
  • Shortcuts & Printing: Learning movement keys, shortcuts for navigation, and printing options.
