MPE&VCA's Executive Virtual Networking - Chat One-on-one on Private Equity

Meet executives focusing on the private equity and venture capital industry of Myanmar, and other friends from the investment community, through our customised meet-ups and industry knowledge sharing sessions.

MPE&VCA's networking events are attended by individuals from the PE and business community of Myanmar, the majority of whom represent the C-suite level from their respective industries. Our MPE&VCA network connects you to industry professionals employed by 15 of our member PE/VC firms, who together manage over $250 million in assets in Myanmar - and also our member service provider firms. For our valued members, this will be a good opportunity to interact with like-minded individuals outside our member community.

As almost all of our businesses and institutions are currently working and solving problems from home, this event offers you a chance to step back, relax and get to know each other through three matched discussions via our one-on-one interactive sessions. As we are randomly matching pairs of participants, we are making sure that the one-on-one interactions take place between members of MPE&VCA and non-members, without overlap. Each attendee will get to network with three different participants in three sessions.

It was not too long ago when a study revealed that Singapore shoppers' purchasing preference is more towards buying in-store than online. However, with the current pandemic situation, the need to shop online has become even more necessary than ever before. Even though people have been familiar with e-commerce platforms in Myanmar since 2015, it has not been a priority for the purchase of basic goods. However, this trend may have changed by now. In this session, you will learn from Jerome Sterckx, chief financial officer of rgo47 on how the purchasing practice of consumers in Myanmar has changed, the trend around online shoppers and the journey of rgo47.

Walk with Kyarlay founder and CEO Soe Lin Myat on how this baby products omnichannel supplier company is operating and leading the business during this challenging time. In this short live session, you will learn about both the online and offline consumer behaviour pre and post-pandemic, the challenges in gaining revenues for non-essential products, how supportive is its private equity investor at this time of the year, and its future plans during these uncertain times.

All individuals who have an interest in the ecosystem of PE/VC are welcome to join. Registration is mandatory as seating is limited to only 80. The registration does not guarantee seating availability. Only applicants who could take part in the full session are advised to register.
