More than three months into the political crisis, domestic and international companies in all sectors face acute and continuing uncertainty. So how can investors manage the immediate risks that they face? And how viable is it for them to make short- and medium-term plans for continuing commercial engagement with Myanmar?

Join us on May 28 for the Myanmar Crisis Management Workshop. This interactive workshop will help you work through inherent strategic dilemmas, and then structure scenario-based approaches to managing the current chaotic and ambiguous circumstances.

Questions and dilemmas

We plan an interactive workshop with practical insights on how investors can manage and prioritise risks stemming from the current crisis:

  • How can they respond to the day-to-day pressures of running a business in this context?
  • How can companies respond to increasing demands from investors to limit exposure to military interests?
  • How far is it possible to choose between 'acceptable' and 'less acceptable' forms of investor engagement in Myanmar?

In spelling out the options, we will draw on a combination of case studies and scenarios. The overall objective is to provide participants with a set of tools and approaches to help them navigate through a period of acute uncertainty.
