In line with the provisions of the National Payment Systems Act (RA 11127), the Monetary Board approved on 25 June 2020 the Payment System Oversight Framework (PSOF) which sets out the regulatory approach of the Bangko Sentral in overseeing payment systems in the country.
The framework also addresses the need for comprehensive regulation over payment systems and other financial market infrastructures through cooperative oversight.
