    Professor Dr. Aung Tun Thet is a Founding Patron of the Myanmar Institute of Directors and an Advisor to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI).

    He is Professor Emeritus at Yangon University of Economics, a Visiting Professor at Payap University in Chiangmai, Thailand as well as an Honorary Professor at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He is a Former Principal Officer, UN Systems Staff College in Turin, Italy.

    Professor Dr. Aung Tun Thet holds a number of degrees including B.Com. (YGN); Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies (Brighton, UK): M.Sc. (Warwick, UK); Ph.D. (UMIST, UK); Post-doctoral Fellow (Germany).

    U Myint Zaw is a member of the Board of Directors of AYA Bank. He has been appointed as Managing Director in 2017, re-appointed as Senior Managing Director in 2021 and Chief Executive Officer in 2022 for his growth initiatives , leadership abilities, and managing the strategic direction of the Bank. He graduated with B-Ecan (Economics) and received a Master of Public Administration (MPA) as well. He held various senior positions in Advertising and Marketing for well-established and reputable international and local companies in the private sector.

    His professional background comes from over 25 years of working experience from different industries in Agriculture , Advertising , Commodity Future Market, Beverage and Soft Drink Industry, Telecommunications and Education. Before joining AYA Bank , U Myint Zaw founded Professional Marketers Association (PMA) and developed Ground Solution Company that provided management and consultancy services.

    His strong knowledge of marketing and operations in theory and practice rendered invaluable service for the bank. He has proven track record of delivering business impact and optimization of marketing that brings up sustainable and a strong corporate culture and promoting the service quality.

    Thura Ko Ko is the Founding Partner of YGA Capital, a Myanmar-registered advisory company focused on identifying and investing in attractive growth opportunities in the country for global private equity firm TPG Capital and its associated companies and funds. He is also a Director of telecom tower operator Apollo Towers Myanmar Limited and of urban microfinance company Pacific Star Finance Limited.

    Previously, he worked at several international investment banks, including Goldman Sachs and N.M. Rothschild. He was Vice-President of Providence Equity, a global telecom and media fund in Hong Kong, before returning to his native country Myanmar in 2010. He was elected a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2013 and plays an active role in policy discussions in Myanmar.

    Dr. Tun Thura Thet is a visiting lecturer at Master of Business Administration (MBA, EMBA) programme and Master of Banking and Finance (MBF, EMBF) programme at the Yangon University of Economics (YUEco), Master of Computer Science (MCSc) programme at the University of Computer Studies, Yangon (UCSY). He was also the NTU Convocation Speaker 2015 and the recipient of NTU Alumni Achievement Award 2021 of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

    He is also the founder and chairman of Myanmar Information Technology Pte Ltd, the leading software development and System Integration Company in Myanmar. MIT was founded in 1997 and has been the market leader for ICT services in banking sector, retail sector, hospitality sector, healthcare sector and in digital innovation, and the winner of the ASEAN Business Award for e-ASEAN sector in 2015 and ASOCIO Outstanding ICT Company Award in 2018. He is also a co-founder and director of Myanmar ICT Development Corporation (MICT Park), an independent director of Myanmar Credit Bureau (MCB), and the vice chairman of Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF).

    Daw Thiri Thant Mon is the Head of ESG for the Fixed Income Division EMEA at Morgan Stanley, a leading global investment bank. She also serves as Executive Director of the Myanmar Institute of Directors, board member of British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar and trustee for Turquoise Mountain Foundation, a UK charity that focuses on heritage preservation countries such as Afghanistan and Myanmar. She has held a number of leadership and board roles over her 20-year career as a finance and capital markets professional.

    She holds a BA in Economics from William & Mary, an MBA from the London Business School, and a Director Certification Diploma from the Thai Institute of Directors.
