In addition to being part of the Business Sweden team in Africa, Rupa has supported H&M in their establishment in South Africa with everything from recruitment to setting up stores and planning short and long-term strategy in the market.
Today, she is the Country Manager for Business Sweden in South Africa helping Swedish companies establish and grow their business in the region.

H.E. Mr. Dainius Junevičius is the Lithuanian Ambassador to South Africa since December 2020. His previous ambassadorial postings include Egypt and Greece, among others.
Mr. Junevičius joined the Lithuanian diplomatic service in 1991 and has wide experience in bilateral diplomacy.

Ambassador of South Africa to the Kingdom of Sweden, a non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Latvia and Lithuania and she is awaiting to present her credentials as a non-resident Ambassador to Estonia and Finland.
Ambassador Mabandla was a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1994-2009.
She served under the following Portfolios:
- Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture by President Nelson Mandela from 1995-2003.
- Minister of Housing from 2003-2004
- Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development from 2004-2008.
- Minister of Public Enterprises from 2008-2009.

Ms. Anne Lammila presented her Letter of Credence to President Cyril Ramaphosa on the 19th of November 2020. She comes from Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, where she was the Consul-General of Finland. Previous ambassadorial posts in Ms. Lammila’s career include Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues and Gender Equality (2015-2017) and Ambassador to Mexico accredited to Cuba, Haiti and Central America (2011-2015). She holds a Master of Science Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Turku School of Economics and Business Administration.

Tobias Elling Rehfeld is the Danish Ambassador to South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, Lesotho, eSwatini and Zimbabwe. Prior, he was the Under-Secretary of State for Legal Affairs (Public International Law, Human Rights Law, EU Law, Administrative Law and general legal advice) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and before that the Principal Private Secretary to the Danish Prime Minister. He holds two Masters: Law from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and International Relations from University of Exeter, UK.

Liesl Louw-Vaudran is a senior researcher and project leader for Southern Africa at the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) in Pretoria. She is also the editor of the ISS’ monthly publication on the African Union Peace and Security Council, the PSC Report.
Liesl has travelled and worked in many African countries over the past 25 years. She has written two books and several research reports on African issues. Liesl has a Masters Degree in Political Science from the University of Pretoria.

Itumeleng Monale joined the JSE in January 2021. She is responsible for the development and execution of the JSE's strategy which encompasses client experience, the sustainability portfolio as well as the exchange’s Public Policy and Regulatory Advisory. Further to that, she oversees the JSE’s business operations which are made up of Trading Operations as well as the Client Service Centre.
She holds a BSc from Wits University; a Global Management certificate from the Thunderbird School of Management (Arizona) and is currently concluding her TRIUM global executive MBA programme with the London School of Economics.
Itumeleng was recognised as an IBM’s Global Women in AI Honoree in 2020 and named one of the top 100 Global Data Visionaries of 2020 by Truata.

Dawie Roodt is a founding member, Director and chief economist of the Efficient Group. Dawie’s newest role is as chairperson of Efficient Private Clients, a subsidiary of the Efficient Group.
A famous South African economist with approximately 30 years of experience and has been a presenter for Ontbytsake for 15 years. He specializes in monetary and fiscal policy. He follows international and local political developments and analyses the economic consequences thereof. He is also an expert on the economic consequences that crypto assets could have. Dawie is actively involved in managing clients’ asset portfolios.

Her Excellency, Dr Astrid Emilie Helle is currently serving as the Head of Mission (Ambassador) for the Norwegian Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa. Previously, H.E. Dr Helle served as the Permanent Representative of Norway to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France.
H.E. Dr Helle is an enthusiastic proponent for gender equality, and as such has held the position of Deputy Director General (Head of Section) for UN Policy and Gender Equality.
H.E. Dr Helle is currently accredited as Ambassador to the following countries: South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Madagascar, Lesotho, Zimbabwe and to SADC.
H.E. Dr Helle completed her PhD on Norway and European Intergration, d’Etudes Politiques, in Paris.

He served on the Cabinet appointed ‘Panel of Experts on Policing and Crowd Management,’ and regularly publishes his work, for a recent example, contributing to the book ‘Police Integrity in South Africa.’ He has a Master’s degree in public and development management from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Fernando Balderrama, an American national, is Chief Investment Officer in the Industrialization Private Finance team at African Development Bank.
Fernando is responsible for deal origination in the industrial sector and has been with AfDB since 2010, where he has led some of the largest project and structured finance operations, including: Moz LNG Area 1, SA Taxi, Facility for Energy Inclusion, etc.
Fernando holds a Masters in Development Management from the London School of Economics and a Masters in Economics from the University of Sussex. For his bachelors, he attended the University of Maryland. With a focus in long-term corporate and project finance, Fernando's attention is directed at finding commercially viable opportunities to industrialize Africa.
