Event Details

We have planned a special evening for our members

  • First, join us at 6:30pm for an enlightening talk by Mr. Patrick Lau on the development of the Northern Metropolis.
  • Next, attend the 2nd Annual General Meeting of the Environmental Management Association of Hong Kong Limited at 7:30pm.
  • Finally, enjoy a networking dinner with us at a nearby restaurant after the AGM.

6:30 PM

Part I: Talk by Mr. Patrick Lau: Northern Metropolis - "Bold New World".

Announced in the 2021 Chief Executive Policy Address, the Northern Metropolis represents a bold plan to rationalise and maximise the potential of existing land resources to achieve a number of pressing objectives - meeting housing demand, nature conservation, economic development, employment and integration into the GBA. The "why", "what" and "where" of this mega-initiative seem obvious enough, but what about the devil in the details such as "when"? This talk will pick up where the plan has left off to examine the challenges of realising the "Bold New World".

7:30 PM

Part II: Annual General Meeting (AGM) of EMAHK Limited

You are invited to attend the 2nd AGM of EMAHK Ltd. The agenda is as follows:

  1. Receive the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting
  2. Receive the Chair's annual report
  3. Receive and adopt the Financial Statement of the Treasurer and Auditor's report
  4. Confirm the reappointment of the association's auditor
