Ocean Swim Intro Course (Level 2) - Blouberg

The Level 2 Intro Course consists of 4 guided sessions at a protected beach, which creates an ideal setting for swimmers to build their fitness and confidence in open water.

Dates:

Saturdays 8, 15, 22, 29 March

Time: 09h00-10h00

Location: Kleinbaai, Blouberg

What you'll learn:

• Adapting to ocean elements such as the cold, wind and waves
• Enhancing skills such as sighting and reading the ocean
• Building up your fitness to swimming a mile (1.6km) in the ocean

Entry requirements:

To sign up, you need to be able to swim at least 800m in open water (ocean, dam or tidal pool).

Equipment needed:

• Swimming costume
• Goggles
• Tow float (available for purchase)
• Wetsuits are optional
• Branded silicone swim cap provided for new swimmers

At the end of the course, there's an option to continue onto our member group, on condition that you can comfortably swim a mile in the ocean.
