The Office of the Public Advocate invites you to attend professional training, promoting awareness and understanding of the need to protect and promote the human rights of people with decision-making disabilities. Topics include:
· The role of guardians and administrators and alternatives to their appointment.
· What to do if you are worried about a client who lacks capacity.
· Options to be explored before applying to the State Administrative Tribunal
· Information on the proper completion and operation of Enduring Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Guardianship.
· Information on the State Administrative Tribunal processes.
We would provide attendees with an electronic handout of the session along with an electronic information kit.
