Bashier Adam was the founding partner of Nexia SAB&T in 1994, after completing his training contract with a medium-sized firm in Johannesburg. Over the years, Bashier has been responsible to a large extent to determine the strategic direction and growth of the firm – resulting in one of the largest independent empowerment firms in South Africa. He was instrumental in the firm becoming a member of Nexia International, one of the Top 10 Global accounting and business networks in the world. Bashier currently serves as a director on the International Board of Nexia and is also the Chairman of the EMEA Board of Nexia.

Hassen Kajie gained exposure to the Partner level at E&Y and then joined Nexia SAB&T as Director in the CT office. He is a registered professional CA and is currently in charge of the Entrepreneurial Business Solutions service line. He has immeasurable experience in Accounting, Auditing, Income Tax and Business Consulting. Serving mainly owner-managed businesses and family-owned businesses Hassen has vast knowledge and consults widely in business restructuring, tax planning, estate planning and giving advice on succession planning. Hassen has been a registered Accountant with Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors for the past 37 years and had has participated in numerous reviews and auditing of Annual Financial Statements. During his years in the profession, he has presented many seminars on Income Tax, VAT, Close Corporations and Property Tax for Estate Agents. Hassen is also an Insolvency Practitioner and is on the Master’s panel of Insolvency Practitioners in most of the provinces. He is a member of the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association and is passionate about client satisfaction and enjoys tackling complex problems of his clients and finding solutions.
