If you are seeking to participate as an active volunteer, helping to advocate, increase exposure and educate the marketplace about the Passivhaus Standard, you are invited to join us at a workshop on Thursday August 31st, 3:00pm-4:30pm AEST.
In this workshop APA Members will be guided to develop an Annual State Advocacy and Engagement plans for their local chapter. The workshop will explore the following areas:
APA's new structure, the role of the Chapters, States, Taskforces and Staff
What does influence and impact look like for APA?
What tools are available for APA's impact and influence
How will APA be setting it's advocacy and policy agenda?
How can members support this work
Sneaky players - looking at the characteristics of high-outcome, low profile and organisations
Stakeholder mapping
State plans - KPIs
APA members and volunteers will leave the workshop with:
A robust plan for their local State Chapter's next year of engagement, education and advocacy
Insights and actions into advocacy
Connection to a national plan
How to determine if you can help:
Are you a confident public speaker?
Are you able to help connect us to contractors, architectural practices, engineering firms, local government planners, developers (etc) so APA can educate them about PH?
Would you be willing to help coordinate educational site tours and seminars?
Are you willing to research content for campaigns or write other educational material for APA?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then come along to our workshop.
