Get Ready for the Pacific Northwest NAMA Camp!
Thursday Oct 31 (Halloween!) to Sunday Nov 3, 2024
TICKET SALES OPEN MONDAY JULY 8TH @ 12PM CENTRAL
Welcome to the real Washington – State, that is! The Gifford Pinchot National Forest is so special that it was named after the founder of the U.S. Forest Service himself. Nestled among three active volcanoes, perennially rumored to be "Where Bigfoot Walks" through an unusual temperate conifer-dominated forest with a densely ferny, mossy, brushy understory. Here, century-old trees are just teenagers, and fungi and lichens are abundant in the damp climate.
NAMA proudly joins South Sound Mushroom Club, and Southwest Washington Mycological Society and Kitsap Peninsula Mycological Society, to invite you to Pacific Northwest NAMA Camp, in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest at Cispus Learning Center outside Randle, Washington.
Tickets go on sale at noon Central Time on July 8, 2024. Remember: you must be a current NAMA member to purchase a ticket! Click HERE to JOIN NAMA today.
Every Participant receives an official annual foray tee-hirt with this year's contest-winning logo by Tim Ballard, a pillowcase with classic NAMA Logo (for trick-or-treat, and for your communal bunkhouse pillow), and swagbag with loads of mycofun for the whole weekend!
Mushroom Forays with "mushroom-famous" folks, including Michael Beug, Kristen Blizzard, Trent Blizzard, Marion Richards, Daniel Winkler, Shannon Adams, Danny Miller, Julie Schreiber, Syrena Whitner, Andrew Wilson, Melodie Gates, Graham Steinruck, Olivia Filialuna, Alan Rockefleller, Pat Mitchell, Rachel Zoller, Regina Johnson, Christian Schwarz, Noah Siegel, Rose Tursi, Aaron Hilliard, Gordon Walker, Jon Sommer, Sidnee Ober-Singleton and more!
Workshops and Forays registration will open for ticketholders on September 1, 2024
While all mushroom forays, presentations and socials are included in the price, the following workshops and programs have an additional fee:
Pacific Northwest trees will be celebrated at this event, with educational displays and posters featuring tree species; knowing host trees helps us know our mushrooms!
The Pacific Northwest NAMA Camp Community Forum can be used for ridesharing or other information. This forum features a Ride Share group for posting requests and offers for rides to Cispus Learning Center, which is about a 2-hour drive from either Seattle or Portland to the Cispus Campus in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Please note that NAMA is not arranging buses or shuttles to the venue and you will need a vehicle or rideshare to get to and from individual foray sites.
