The PDPA has been published in the Royal Gazette on 27 May 2019 with one-year grace period. This act reflects global trends in personal data protection (e.g. EU GDPR). If you fail to comply with the act, you may face administrative fines of up to THB 5 million and criminal fines of up to THB 1 million.

Bernard has been a resident of Thailand since 2003 when he opened Asian branch of SafeComs, with an objective to "Control of your Data, Systems, Process and Activities".

Today SafeComs hosts 2 separate divisions: I) IT support and Security; II) Software development

Prior to SafeComs, over 10 years, Bernard was the CEO of Pacer Software inc. in Europe. He also served as European Marketing Manager, for Digital Equipment. Earlier, he was GM of Apple Belgium.

Bernard holds a degree in Nuclear Electronics from the Institute of Nuclear Sciences in Brussels. He also holds various certifications on Network analyzers and Security programs. He is a private pilot and as a hobby, used to build ultralight aircrafts in the south of France.

• Laurent Landié, Chief Strategy Officer, Asia Data Destruction

Graduated from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Laurent founded in 2008 Thai Ecotrade now Asia Data Destruction. He is currently Chief Strategic Officer at Asia Data Destruction.

In 2014 Laurent launched Lim and Partner, an executive search and consulting company member of Praxi Alliance he is Board member of Praxi Alliance.

Laurent is also Vice-President of Thailand Chapter of French Foreign Trade Advisor (CCE) and Country Representative of the OSCI.
