The activity is a project of the Office of the Honorary Consul to Spain headed by Hon Ramon Balaguer and the Zamboanga City Tourism Office.
This is in celebration of the Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day, celebrated annually in the Philippines.
This is an effort to promote the ties of both countries by way of friendly competition through golf.
Zamboanga City Tourism Office through the Zamboanga Golf and Country Club Inc will have 10 golf players mostly coming from the Business Sector and Diplomatic Corp , while the Spanish group will have ten players too.
The proposed friendship golf game will only be one day (18 holes). It is like a normal afternoon golf game . It shall end with the awarding and Fellowship Dinner among the players. The winning group will receive a ceremonial trophy , of which the same shall be used for the awarding of winner for next year's game, which hopefully will become an annual tradition.
The City Tourism Office will submit the profile of each participating player.
