Urban mobility plays a vital role in urban economic growth and citizens' well-being. One mode of transport that is increasingly gaining popularity and supports major cities is cycling. However, enabling a city to become bike-friendly has never been an easy path. London, for example, has been implementing the changes over the last decades with bike-to-hire schemes and transforming existing roads to become cyclist friendly. Cities in Indonesia are in rapid development, and therefore there are many opportunities to plan for cyclist-friendly infrastructure.
This webinar will discuss the challenges cities face in transitioning and planning for cyclists' friendly infrastructure and the vision from the thought leaders towards an inclusive and sustainable urban mobility strategy.
