Tourism is one of the crucial industries of Thai economy, with its almost 1/5 contribution to the total national GDP. While medical tourism, specifically, generates the total earning around $589 million in 2019, ranking Thailand as the 5th destination for inbound medical tourism spending globally according to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).

However, the usual up to 40 million international tourists, including inbound medical tourists has decreased dramatically this year due to the restrictions on cross-border travelling, in the prevention of COVID-19. While unsettling situations continue, the partnership between hospital and hotel chains in the past few months for Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) is one of the great examples for business diversification and new opportunity.

Extended from the current example, our online webinar on Wednesday 20 January 2021 brings you the industry experts who will be discussing and revert to your related questions on the topic "Medical Tourism In A Corona-Positive World - How to turn current restrictions into business opportunities", focusing on medical and cosmetic tourism which attracts both high spending and long-term-stay visitors to the country.
