HDN is pleased to bring you this highly practical, immersive introduction to Generative AI in partnership with Rohit Talwar of Fast Future - leading global experts in delivering AI education to leaders, executives, and board members.

A one-day course designed to help you answer these questions:

  1. How can I drive my personal effectiveness and stay up to date with critical developments in a fast changing world?
  2. How can I use the technology to enhance the impact of the time I spend with the boards I serve?
  3. How can I help my organisation enhance efficiency, effectiveness, responsiveness, and innovation?

Why learn about Generative AI?

Every day we are hearing about the transformative impact of software tools classed as 'Generative AI', with applications ranging from summarising large documents and writing emails through to developing business plans and creating videos from text prompts. A recent University of Bedfordshire study found that 67% of executives believe these tools are very or extremely important, but only 30% were very or extremely familiar with their use.

Waiting for things to stabilise is not an option. The tools are evolving at an ever-faster pace, and changing how work gets done. Twenty-page documents can be condensed into half page summaries in 20 seconds, research tasks that took 20 days now take 20 minutes, and communication videos can be developed for 10% of their previous costs.

These tools are helping organisations to surface ideas, innovations, and business models from across the world that they might never have discovered through traditional search means or consulting approaches. In response, leaders increasingly believe that they and their organisations need to start demystifying Generative AI, learning these tools in a supportive environment, and applying them effectively in the core work of the organisation.

Aims and Outcomes

The aim of the course is that participants have sufficient awareness, understanding, and hands on experience of a core set of tools that will enable them to:

  • Enhance their personal effectiveness, efficiency, creativity, and impact.
  • Use their time spent serving each board to maximum effect.
  • Encourage their organisations to become highly proficient in their use of these tools to enhance performance across all of their tasks.

Who is this for?

This course is designed to help executives overcome any concerns and hesitancy and learn how to become proficient and productive in the use of these kinds of tools. The content is targeted at those who have little or limited experience of using a range of AI tools in the core work tasks for themselves and their organisations.

Types of tools and business applications

The course will offer plenty of opportunity to get hands on experience of the tools. This will be

supplemented with short demonstrations of other tools for similar applications, performance /

function comparisons of key tools, and a resource guide with 'cheat sheets' for prompt writing, links to key tools, recommended newsletters, and useful websites.

We will practice how to use these tools for tasks such as:

  • Personal Productivity
  • PR, Marketing, Business Development, Sales, and Service
  • Strategy and Decision Making
  • Securing the Payoff

Using tools such as:

  • Text – e.g. ChatGPT, Groq / Llama 2, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini / Barg, Bing, Co-pilot
  • Meeting management – e.g. Fathom, Read
  • Art and design – e.g. Adobe Firefly, DALL-E-3 / Bing Create, Midjourney
