Private Sector Development Strategy (PSDS) Launch

The 2024–2029 Strategy is a blueprint for private sector development in Botswana over the next four years. It aims to guide the country towards the Strategic Private Sector Vision: to establish a private sector-led, export-oriented, high-income economy in Southern Africa.

The strategy focuses on the following key pillars:

1. Diversifying the economy and increasing production capacity;
2. Expanding Botswana's export basket;
3. Mainstreaming the informal sector and developing SMMEs (Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises);
4. Enhancing competitiveness and productivity;
5. Increasing private sector participation and leadership in strategy implementation
