SPEAKERS:

Jodi Glitzenstein is the Director of Human Resources, overseeing HR functions in a multi-county agency with over 800 employees. She has been with Oriana House for 31 years and also volunteers on the Board of Directors at ACCESS shelter in Akron, Ohio.

Jacob Sadon is the Staff Development Manager at Oriana House, responsible for training and development practices for over 800 employees across Ohio. He has worked for Oriana House for 17 years and holds a Master of Arts degree in Justice Studies.

Megan McBryer serves as the Human Resources Manager, overseeing core HR functions for over 800 employees. She has extensive experience in all areas of Human Resources and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management.

Shelby Collins is the Recruitment Administrator, responsible for recruiting and hiring for the multi-county agency with 800+ employees. She has been with Oriana House for 6 years, starting as a Recruitment Assistant and progressing through various roles. Shelby is currently pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management at Tiffin University.


WORKSHOPS:

This training will include three workshops: The Importance of Effective Exit Interviews, Why Staff Stay in Corrections: The Importance of a Stay Interview for Staff Retention, and Interviewing and Selecting Candidates for Mutual Success.

Why Staff Stay in Corrections: The Importance of a Stay Interview for Staff Retention, lead by Jodi Glitzenstein, Director of Human Resources, and Jacob Sadon, Staff Development Manager, both from Oriana House, Inc., will lead this workshop. It focuses on the often overlooked aspect of staff retention—why employees stay. The session covers the importance of Stay Interviews, their components, and technical aspects. The speakers will share their experiences, including successes, failures, and moments of comic relief, providing practical skills for enhancing staff retention.


The Importance of Effective Exit Interviews, led by Megan McBryer, Human Resources Manager at Oriana House, Inc., highlights the crucial role of exit interviews in understanding employee departures. Megan will share insights on designing well-researched, planned, and incentivized exit interviews. Attendees can expect to learn how to gather valuable data and, more importantly, how to interpret and utilize the results effectively. The session promises to be interactive and engaging.


Interviewing and Selecting Candidates for Mutual Success, lead by Shelby Collins, Recruitment Administrator at Oriana House, Inc., will lead this workshop. The session delves into the critical aspects of interviewing and selecting candidates for lasting success. Attendees will gain insights into maintaining high standards, asking the right questions, and setting a professional tone during the hiring process. Shelby will share innovative ways of maintaining contact with potential employees, providing practical and implementable skills for successful candidate selection.
