Elina Jani

Senior Director, Business Development

Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGTC)


With more than 15 years of experience in diverse portfolios in the green technology and biotechnology industry, Elina possesses a strong background in the public sector, as well as extensive experience in corporate sector. 


Elina Jani is currently the Senior Director for Business Development in Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC), executing company strategies aimed at inculcating green mindsets, development of green technologies for adoption and deployment in spurring the green economy for Malaysia. With regards to her achievements in the sector, she has been leading the development and implementation of communications, branding, and promotion strategies to build the value proposition of GreenTech Malaysia, the Nation of Malaysia in order to build stakeholder buy-in and commitment to green technology initiatives for the past 5 years. 


Elina has delivered more than RM15 billion worth of potential Investments for Malaysia's Green Technology Sector from 2016-2018 from various projects in renewable energy, energy efficiency, green buildings, low carbon mobility, waste, sustainable water, and sustainable manufacturing of green products. 


She has personally engaged and nurtured hundreds of companies in the green technology sector and involved in changing the mindset of hundreds more companies originally not in the green space, to pursue sustainability for the future. She has also personally engaged and nurtured hundreds of green products and services for public and private green purchasing in Malaysia since 2016. In addition to that, Elina has been directly involved in human capital development training programs for the green technology sector which has produced over 600 participants from the existing workforce, and 300 youths through the human capital development programs for the schools and universities all over Malaysia. 


Elina graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) and a Master in Biotechnology (Bioprocess Engineering) from University Malaya. She is a life member of several professional societies, among them are International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering, Malaysian Biotechnology and Molecular Biology Society and Malaysian Society for Microbiology. 

Hans de Visser

Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

BMW Group Malaysia


With over 29 years of experience in various functions at the BMW Group, Hans de Visser is the current Managing Director at BMW Group Malaysia. 


He began his career at the premium automaker in its premium motorcycle division, BMW Motorrad as a Marketing Communications Manager, eventually leading the Marketing department for BMW Motorrad worldwide.


Hans de Visser has served in various Sales and Marketing roles for the BMW Group across several markets globally, including the Middle East, Central Eastern Europe, Spain as well as in the BMW Group headquarter in Munich. Prior to assuming his current role in Malaysia, he was the Marketing Director at BMW Russia.


In his time away from his responsibilities at BMW, he enjoys riding motorcycles, hiking and the outdoors. 

Jennifer Lopez

Chief Executive Officer

British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC)


She steers the BMCC's robust network composed of 260 MNCs & SMEs, together with its associates and key stakeholders from both the private and the public sector. In her role, she drives her team to leverage business matching opportunities for the Chamber's members, while providing a representative industry/sector voice to engage in purposeful public/ministerial dialogue with key government stakeholders.


She's also the chief liaison for the BMCC Board of Directors, the Malaysian spokesperson for the bilateral chambers under the British in Southeast Asia (BISEA) faction. Jennifer also supervises the BMCC's contract with the British government's Department International Trade (DIT), whereby the Chamber serves as a platform for British businesses looking to export products & services to Malaysia and develop a presence in-market.


As a Chartered Accountant by training, Jennifer has enjoyed a versatile career in professional education and financial industries, including assuming the role as Head of Malaysia at ACCA for 5 years; honing her specialities in developing strategic partnerships, corporate branding, and relationship management.

Mark Arthun

Managing Director & Site Leader

Smith & Nephew Operations Sdn Bhd


Mark Arthun is the Managing Director & Site Leader for Smith & Nephew's greenfield manufacturing site in Penang, Malaysia. 


Mark oversees all Malaysian operations, from construction to the manufacturing and distribution of Orthopedics products globally. He is an expert in developing and deploying operational strategies in medical device and aerospace operations. An Industrial Engineer by training, Mark has held leadership roles at Abbott, Alere, and Boeing. Mark has relocated from the United States to Penang with his wife, Jocelyn.

Peter Fitch

IOI Palm Wood Sdn Bhd


IOI Palmwood is a joint venture between the IOI Corporation and Peter Fitch. The IOI Corporation is one of the preeminent plantation and property developers in Malaysia. Peter Fitch is a seasoned entrepreneur in the timber and composite panel industry, who has spent the past 30 years working in Malaysia, China and South East Asia. The purpose of the JV company is to explore the commercial potential of utilising the biomass generated from the cultivation of Oil Palm. Our initial project is to produce lumber core from Oil Palm Trunks and to convert this material into engineered panels such as blockboard and three-layered panels. The Core of our Vision is to create high performance materials from Oil Palm residues in a Sustainable, Circular and Inclusive Way.

Philip See

Chief Executive Officer

Firefly Sdn Bhd


Philip was appointed CEO of Firefly, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), in January 2019.


Prior to that Philip was formerly the Head of Strategy and Network for Malaysia Airlines. He joined the airline in 2015 from consulting firm McKinsey & Company where he was an associate. He is, however, no stranger to the Group having previously served in the Turnaround Management Office (TMO), back in 2004. Under TMO he was responsible for implementing the Business Turnaround Plan and consequently the Business Transformation Plan. Philip left the airline in 2010 and re-joined Malaysia Airlines in 2015 as a Network Planner.


Before joining Malaysia Airlines in 2004, Philip was with Deutsche Bank as a Financial Analyst in the London office, looking at equity and mergers and acquisition (M&A) markets in the Asia Pacific region. He was also a consultant with Arthur D. Little, before joining the airline.
