Objective
This course/ workshop will Estate Agents/ Principals to develop understanding and skills necessary to enable effective engagement with legal documents, in the form of making amendments where necessary and appreciating and acting on their implications, of compliance and non-compliance with relevant acts and common law.
After completion of this course/ workshop the Estate Agents/ Principals will be able to analyse requests for changes to legal documentation and contracts and the implications thereof. Monitoring amendments to legal documentation and contracts. Managing legal issues impacting on a real estate business.

- Acts and statutory requirements (Valuers Act, Land Survey Act, Rent Control Act, Value Added Tax Act, Expropriation Act, Rating/Valuation Ordinances of the nine Provinces, Water Act, Restitution of Land Rights Act, Environmental Conservation Act)
- South Africa Contract Law (Concept of Contract Law, Contractual Terms and Conditions, Breach of Contract, Structure of ownership, Legal Issues in Ownership, Legal Rights)
