Strategic Planning: Barriers to get from Net Zero Ambition to Real Implementation
Presentation 1: Onshore Renewables - Its Design Standards & Exposures
Photovoltaic, onshore wind, BESS, and more recently floating solar, are all common segments of onshore renewables. It's been about 20 years since they were introduced in the market. However, losses resulted globally have been patchy as more and more capacity enters the market. What have we learnt from new technologies and still prevailing climate changes on this sector? And what do we need to understand when underwriting new uncertainty?
Presentation 2: Renewable Energy Claim Insights
This presentation will provide insights into global and regional trends in renewable energy losses and give examples of issues experienced in the handling of claims in Thailand and elsewhere in the region.
Lloyd Warwick International (LWI) focuses on all types of power and energy claims and is well known in the industry for their extensive experience handling renewable energy claims globally. In South-East Asia, LWI has overseen various claims for PV and Concentrated Solar plants (CSP), on and offshore wind installations, hydoo-electric power plants, battery storage, and waste-to-energy projects in both construction and operational phases.
Presentation 3: Wind Turbine Claims in Thailand
This session will be a review of some Thai wind turbine claims, including a nacelle collapse and various blade damage claims. We will also cover potential issues arising from such claims.
