In the face of increasing and intensifying extreme weather events, we must co-create solutions for resilience in the built environment. Join the Resilience Hackathon, developed by the International Finance Corporation, with support from the Government of the Netherlands and the Australian Government, in partnership with ARISE, ANZCham, Australia Alumni Communities Philippines, Australia Global Alumni, DOST Phivolcs, and the AIM Dado Banatao Incubator.
We're looking for realistic, future-proof, scalable, and replicable solutions (technologies, products, methods, or business concepts) with a strong alignment with the SDGs. Solutions should leverage the Building Resilience Index and GeoRisk PH Platforms and must be project-based in an area devastated by Typhoon Odette. On December 16, 2021, Typhoon Odette hit the Philippines and caused devastation in the provinces of Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands in Mindanao, in five provinces of Visayas, and in the island of Palawan in Luzon, causing more than $1Bn in damages across shelters, infrastructure, and agriculture.
Join us for the Resilience Hackathon official launch on April 8, 3PM to know more.
