Breno Lobo is a senior advisor at Competition and Financial Market Structure Department of Central Bank of Brazil, acting as a high level technical specialist at the team responsible for managing and operating Pix. Economist, with a master's degree in economics from Brasilia University, has been working in the Central Bank's payment system area for 15 years. He participated actively since the initial studies for the implantation of instant payments in Brazil, as well as in the benchmarking of the international experience, conducted the work group with the market in 2018 and coordinated the development and the implantation of Pix, the Brazilian instant payment. Currently, he works as a technical specialist on Pix's evolutionary agenda and Pix's operationalization processes.
