Our first Runway event of the year is being held in Auckland on the 22nd of March and features a great line up of speakers, both founders and investors, who will come together to share their stories and experiences:

The Vend Story

Vend was founded in 2010 by Vaughan Fergusson​, and like every start-up, Vend's trajectory was not a straight line from founding to exit. Vaughan will join us to discuss the hard work, tough decisions, challenges and successes he experienced both personally and at a company level over that time, as well as the moments of exhilaration and excitement.

Scaling for Growth and Ambition

In this session we dig into the team part of scaling for growth and ambition and specifically look at how do you do this from NZ. What are the key aspects of growing a team that you need to think about to achieve success and when do you need to start thinking about it? Anna Kominik​ and Susan Hailey​ share their experience and insights on the really practical aspects of attracting and retaining high functioning people and teams.

Deep tech - Big Ambitions

Soul Machines is a deep tech company changing the world - and it all started from New Zealand. New Zealand is becoming well regarded for creating some incredible deep tech companies, and Greg Cross​ will join us to share their company and investor journey of having a big ambition and going global with it.

Speed Dating

This session is always a bit of fun and is a great way for founders to practice their elevator pitch! Each founder gets 3 minutes with an investor before they need to move on! This allows you to meet everyone in the room for a quick chat!

Runway is designed for early stage startups - their founders and CEOs and existing and budding investor directors.

This is a full day of sharing insights, practical advice and experiences with lots of opportunities to get to know each other and make valuable connections. We conclude the day with another opportunity to network and make new friends over a glass of wine.

Registration fee includes lunch as well as drinks and nibbles at the conclusion of the day. Doors open at 9:00am to grab a coffee before kick-off at 9:30am

The cost is $90 + GST for founders and $150 + GST for investors.
