SABABC 2023 Fall Conference

SABABC is pleased to announce the details of its marquee event, the Annual Fall Conference. The Fall Conference will be taking place on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Surrey Civic Hotel from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The Annual Conference is the premier professional development and networking event for SABABC members. Bringing together attendees from across BC, the Conference will host a number of lawyers, students and paralegals in different practice areas, including corporate counsel, public counsel, law firm partners and associates.

The event will consist of several panels, which will cover the following topics:

• Practice Management, Ethical Issues and the Business of Law, presented by Kamaljit Lehal (Lehal Law Legal Services), Dimple Kainth (Satya Law), and Kathrine Uppal (Bleay, Both Uppal LLP)
• Advocacy Skills, presented by Justice Neena Sharma, Judicial Justice Aamna Afsar, and Rob Dhanu (Dhanu Dhaliwal Law Group)
• Artificial Intelligence - Implications for Your Clients and Your Firm, presented by Robert Piasentin and Eli Zbar (McMillan LLP).
• Views From the Bench - Best Practices, presented by Judge Rita Bowry
