SABABC's Annual Fall Conference

Opening Doors: Community, Connection and Legal Excellence

SABABC is pleased to announce the return of its marquee event, the Annual Fall Conference. This year it will be held on November 17, 2022 at the Surrey Civic Hotel. We are thrilled to return to an in-person conference after Covid-19 shifted our conference to an online seminar model presented over several months throughout both 2020 and 2021.

The Annual Conference is the premier professional development and networking event for SABABC members. Bringing together attendees from across BC, the Conference will host a number of lawyers, students and paralegals in different practice areas, including corporate counsel, public counsel, law firm partners and associates.

We also are pleased to announce members of our judiciary will be in attendance, with the Keynote speech being delivered by the Honourable Madam Justice Baljinder Kaur Girn.

The theme of this year's conference is 'Legal Changes and Updates Since Covid-19' and will cover a range of practice areas including Family Law, Wills and Estates, Corporate Commercial and Civil Litigation. Our speakers will provide updates on developments in the law in each of these areas. We are also hosting a session on Trauma Informed Practice as well as a panel discussion on Law Firm Recruitment and Retention in the post-Covid era.
