Having expressed its ongoing concern about candidates' performance in the professional examinations, SAICA has commissioned an independent research to investigate the underlying reasons behind the declining ITC and APC pass rates, especially the widening gap between White and African candidates.
The research team is conducting consultations with different stakeholders to explain research scope, approach and focus areas. The purpose of these consultations is to allow, within the scope of the research, students and trainees to contribute other key issues which may have direct or indirect influence into the candidates' performance in the professional examinations that the researchers should consider in carrying out the research.
ABASA therefore encourages students and young professionals to join this session and share their inputs.
