Sunshine Coast Screen Collective

The Sunshine Coast Screen Collective is a dynamic ensemble of local industry professionals, united by a shared vision: to harness the inherent potential of the Sunshine Coast, creating an unparalleled hub for screen media right in our own backyard.

Our region is a treasure trove of talent. We boast an impressive array of creatives who, despite their local roots, often find themselves travelling far and wide to ply their trade. We believe it's time to change that narrative.

The Sunshine Coast is a gem waiting to be discovered by the screen industry. Its diverse and breathtaking locations offer a perfect backdrop for any narrative, coupled with a rapidly growing infrastructure that is ripe for utilisation. Moreover, our community is teeming with highly trained professionals who can elevate any project to international standards.

We firmly believe that the relatively light impact industries of production and post-production can serve as a potent economic engine for our region. With the right nurturing, these sectors could transform the Sunshine Coast into a thriving hub for screen industry groups and individuals.

If you're looking to amplify your presence within the Sunshine Coast screen industry, you've come to the right place. We're on a mission to highlight the remarkable talent, crews, and events that our region has to offer. Creating your free profile is the first step towards joining our collective endeavour. By doing so, you'll gain the opportunity to connect with other industry professionals and contribute to the growth of the Sunshine Coast Screen Industry.

Together, let's turn the Sunshine Coast into a local powerhouse of the screen industry. It's time to bring our talent back home and show the world what we're truly capable of.

This month's meetup takes us to the world of virtual production and state-of-the-art in-camera visual effects.

Industry professional Chris Mitchell-Clare will be demonstrating various tracking camera rigs including handheld, Unreal Engine moving backgrounds and the amazing new LED Wall display technology recently installed at the Peregian Digital Hub.

You will see the same technology used to make The Mandalorian and see why this is the replacement for green screen production and compositing.

There'll be beer and pizza with the compliments of Peregian Digital Hub sponsor, Community Bank - Bendigo Bank Sunshine Coast, and an opportunity to network with other Screen Collective members.
