Join us Thursday September 28 at 8:00am to hear from Scott Crabb. Scott currently serves as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Charleston. He leads the HSI investigative & operational activity in the HSI Charlotte, Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach & Wilmington. HSI is the primary investigative arm of the Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) and its special agents conduct investigations into transnational criminal organizations and operations that aim to exploit the US trade, travel, and financial systems. They conduct many investigations that revolve around the maritime environment.


This event will be held at The SC Ports Authority HQ located at 200 Ports Authority Dr in Mt Pleasant.


About the Speaker:


Scott Crabb oversees activities covering the entire spectrum of the HSI investigative portfolio, which targets transnational crime and threats that exploit the global infrastructure through which international trade, travel, and finance move. Mr. Crabb leads a diverse workforce of special agents and support personnel located throughout the Carolinas. He also oversees the HSI Greenville Upstate Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST), the HSI Charleston BEST, and the HSI Wilmington Coastal Carolinas BEST, which conduct cross-border smuggling and trafficking investigations impacting the Carolinas. Mr. Crabb serves as the Commander for the HSI Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), overseeing 18 negotiators that cover nine states in the Southeast Region area of responsibility. Scott is also a certified Maritime Port Executive (MPE) under the International Association of Maritime Port Executives program as well as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) through the Association of Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS). In addition, Mr. Crabb serves as the Facility Security Committee (FSC) chair for the Interagency Security Committee (ISC) for the multi-agency facility in North Charleston, SC.



MASC Business & Nav/Ops meetings serve as the Maritime Association's monthly membership meetings, wherein all members are invited to network. This meeting includes Association briefings, Federal and State Agency reports and a brief industry presentation on various topics . The meeting closes with public comment and/or announcements.
