You're invited to our discover Melbourne's Hidden History with Rosemary Cameron, Executive Officer of the Royal Historical Society of Victoria. Get exclusive after hour access to the RHSV Building and ongoing exhibitions. Ask any burning questions you may have on Melbourne's famous and infamous past. Rosemary can even show you how to research your own building or shop's past and perhaps sordid history.


The Royal Historical Society of Victoria (RHSV) was formed in 1909 and is a community organisation committed to collecting, researching and sharing an understanding of the history of Victoria.


Finger food and beverages will be provided by City Precinct. This is a member only event and places are limited, RSVPs are essential.

    Rosemary Cameron

    Executive Officer at Royal Historical Society of Victoria Inc

    Rosemary has mostly worked in not-for-profit arts management – more specifically, theatre and latterly literary festival management. Her work in theatre took her overseas where she worked for both the English National Opera and the Royal Opera House in London and the Oslo Early Music Festival in Norway. She is the former director of the Melbourne Writers Festival (2005 – 2009) and the Brisbane Writers Festival (2003 – 2005). Rosemary has twice been a judge of both the WA Premiers and the Victorian Premier’s Literary Prizes for Fiction. She was involved in the successful bid to make Melbourne a UNESCO City of Literature and in the development of the Wheeler Centre.
