We are pleased to invite you to join our SweCham Company Visit and Networking Event at IKEA Bang Yai with a special introduction to the IKEA sustainability approach.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about IKEA approach to sustainability management.
Join us to explore IKEA Bang Yai facilities, the IKEA recycling center and the Circular Shop. IKEA will share their know-how on how to set up recycling centre and up-cycle secondhand products. After that, we will enjoy a Swedish lunch together with opportunities to discuss and share experience.

Speakers
Tom has been with IKEA globally for 17 years, starting as a part-time coworker in the Canadian Market. Along the way, he has worked in 3 different stores, as well as run two different large projects for IKEA. He is currently the store manager of IKEA Bang Yai, the 2nd largest store in SEA, and the self-described Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer for IKEA Thailand.
Canada has been one of the leading markets in the IKEA world when it comes to sustainability – for example, They eliminated single-use plastics 10 years ago! This has given him lots of experience in connecting sustainability to customer needs – and puts us in a position to help our Thai customers see that it’s not hard to have less of an impact.
